(Summary description)Shot blasting is a method of removing metal rust by using metal projectiles, using compressed air or mechanical centrifugal force as power and friction. The diameter of the projectile is between 0.2-2.5mm, the pressure of the compressed air is 0.2-0.6Mpa, and the angle between the jet and the surface is about 30 ° -90 °. Nozzles are made of T7 or T8 tool steel and quenched to a hardness of 50-55HRC, and the life of each nozzle is 15-20 days.

Shot blasting is a method of removing metal rust by using metal projectiles, using compressed air or mechanical centrifugal force as power and friction. The diameter of the projectile is between 0.2-2.5mm, the pressure of the compressed air is 0.2-0.6Mpa, and the angle between the jet and the surface is about 30 ° -90 °. Shot peening is used to remove oxide scale, rust, molding sand and old paint film on medium and large metal products with a thickness of not less than 2mm or does not require accurate size and contour, as well as castings and forgings. It is a cleaning method before surface coating (plating). Widely used in large shipyards, heavy machinery factories, automobile factories, etc. Surface treatment with shot blasting has a large impact force and a clear cleaning effect. However, the treatment of thin plate workpieces by shot peening easily deforms the workpiece, and the steel shot hits the surface of the workpiece (no matter shot blasting or shot peening), which deforms the metal substrate. Because Fe3O4 and Fe2O3 have no plasticity, they are peeled after breaking, and the oil film and The base material deforms together, so shot peening and shot peening cannot completely remove the oil stain on the workpiece with oil stain.

Sand blasting is also a mechanical cleaning method, but blasting is not shot blasting. Sand blasting uses sand particles such as quartz sand, and shot blasting uses metal pellets. Among the existing methods for surface treatment of workpieces, sandblasting is the best cleaning effect. Sand blasting is suitable for high-level cleaning of workpiece surfaces.
